The funeral for Annie Carolyn Cross will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, January 16, 2017 at the Ames Christian Church with Pastor Tom Holton officiating. Burial will follow in the Ames Cemetery. A visitation with family will be 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Henninger~Hinson Funeral Home.

Annie was born February 7, 1936 in Ringwood to George Warren and Gladys (Ballard) Stricker and passed away January 11, 2017 in Enid. Annie attended school at Cimarron Valley and graduated from Ames High School in 1954. She married Richard Cross on August 1, 1954 in Ames then moving to Wichita, KS before settling on the farm south of Meno where the couple made their home. She owned and ran Ann's Beauty Shop in Meno and was a long time member of Ames Christian Church. Annie enjoyed mowing, gardening and especially loved spending time with her family.

Annie is survived by her daughter, Carrie Dobrovolny and her husband, Roger of Bison; son, Robert Cross of Enid; grandson, Tyler Dobrovolny; brothers, Don Stricker and wife Carolyn of Frisco, TX; Ronnie Stricker and wife Laura of Tulsa; sisters, Shirley Bergdall and her late husband, Larry of Enid; Kathy Webster and husband, Charles of Keller, TX and Esther Bergdall and husband, Ronnie of Meno.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Memorials may be made to Special Olympics Oklahoma with the Funeral Home acting as custodian of the fund.
