Obituary

The funeral for Audrey Lee Stratton, 90-year-old Enid resident will be Noon, Saturday, June 7, 2025, in the Hallmark Baptist Church. Rev. Clayton Stevicks will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mausoleum in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Audrey was born August 9, 1934, in Billings. Oklahoma to Howard and Gladys (Pearce) Van Hoesen and died Tuesday, June 3, 2025, in Baptist Village in Enid. She attended several area schools and graduated from Billings High School with the class of 1952. She then attended Nursing School in Woodward and became an LPN. In 1954 she married Harlan Stratton in Billings. The couple lived in various towns around Enid before settling in Enid in 1965. After raising her young children, Audrey began work with the Garfield County Health Department. She was later a nurse with Dr. Bruce R. Hinson, Dr. Al McCune, Dr. Micheal Rickman, and Dr. Shepard before she retired.

She was a life-long Baptist and was a member of Hallmark Baptist Church. She was an avid reader and she and Harlan loved to go dancing.

Audrey is survived by her children, Craig Cooley and wife Joan of Byers, Colorado, Danny Stratton and wife Carla of Enid, and Dee Stratton and wife Dena of Enid. 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, one sister, Dolores Van Hoesen and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son Randy, great-granddaughter Hadley Stratton, and two brothers, LaVern and Everette.
