The funeral service for Barbara Joyce Semrad 77 year-old Enid resident will be 11:00AM Friday, August 7, 2020 in the Henninger-Hinson Chapel. Chaplain Gary Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery.

Barbara was born March 17, 1943 in Woodward, Oklahoma to John and EvaLyn (Wegner) Gash and died Sunday, August 2, 2020 in St. Mary's Hospital. She grew up in Fairmont. She was Baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church in Fairmont. She graduated from Garber with the Class of 1961. She attended Autry VoTec, NOC, and Graduated from O.U. with her LPN in nursing.

On June 10, 1961 she married Albert Lee Semrad and the couple made their home in Enid. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and was a founding member of St. Gregory's the Great. In her younger years, she was an excellent bowler and was a member of the 300 Club. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Albert; son, Gregory Semrad and wife, Chrysi; daughters, Patricia Joseph and Jenise Major; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and brother, John "Bob" Gash.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Christopher; sister, Betty Anderson and three brothers, Jim, Les, and Charles Gash.
