Beatrice Fern Koehn was born May 9, 1935 on a farm northwest of Meno to Lincoln B. and Meta (Kane) Koehn. She passed away Monday, August 18, 2014 at the age of 79.

On March 31, 1966, Beatrice, along with her parents, moved into the town of Meno. On June 17, 1967, Beatrices' mother passed away. Beatrice continued to take care of her father until his death on December 19, 1967.

In February of 1968, Beatrice started working at the Methodist Nursing Home where she worked until September 1973 at which time she went to work at Enid State School, now known as N.O.R.C.E. Beatrice retired from Enid State School on June 1, 1998, after 25 years of service.

Beatrice enjoyed making crafts, especially crocheting. She also enjoyed growing flowers.

Beatrice had one brother, Milford, who preceded her in death on November 30, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her beloved feline companion, April, of 18 years.

At her request, Beatrice will be cremated. A memorial service will be 2:00pm, Friday, August 22, 2014 in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel.

The family of Beatrice Koehn would like to thank the staff of the Sterling House and Hospice Circle of Love for their kind help.

In lieu of flowers, it was Beatrice's request that memorial donations be given through the funeral home to Enid SPCA.
