The graveside service for Billy G. Jones will be 11:00AM Monday, September 8, 2014 in the Enid Cemetery. Bruce Schulz will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
Billy G. Jones, the sixth child of Tom and Katie Jones, was born February 19, 1930 in El Reno, Oklahoma After high school, Bill worked for his brother building roads and bridges. While working in the Perry area, he met a waitress in the Covington Café'. It was love at first sight. Nine days later, on August 15, 1950, Bll and Jean Lee Henry were wed.
In 1954 they moved to Enid and Bill went to work for the Champlin Refining Co. He worked there in water treatment until the refinery closed in 1983. For the next ten years he worked at the refinery site with the environmental clean-up crew.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jean Lee; his two daughters, Pam Leavengood (Larry), Dorothy Bourgo (Ray Lorenz), and his son, Ray Jones (Nola),. His grandchildren Mandy Loyd and Corly Jones (Rebecca); and his three great-grandchildren, Makai, Cambree and Riot Jones. He is also survived by too many friends to count, and the best neighbors ever. He will be missed by them all.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Oklahoma Medical Research ( Heart Division) through Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. We also want to thank everyone who helped us during this difficult time.
