The funeral service for Bruce Lounsbury will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 21, 2018 in White Cemetery; Hunter, OK with Chaplain Gary Miller officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger~Hinson Funeral Home.

Bruce was born August 3, 1938 in Enid, OK to Wayne and Alberta (Johndrow) Lounsbury and passed away March 19, 2018 in OKC.

Bruce was raised in Hunter and graduated Hunter High School in 1956. He attended Phillips University, Oklahoma State Tech in Okmulgee and Northern Oklahoma State University in Alva. On August 16, 1958, Bruce married his high school sweetheart, Nelta Kunard in Okmulgee. The couple moved to their farm in Hunter, OK where Bruce farmed north to Pond Creek and as far west as Billings.

Bruce loved to farm, hunt, fish and watch OSU basketball but most of all he loved his family and friends and he will be greatly missed.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Nelta; son, Kevin Lounsbury; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Larry Lounsbury and brother-in-law, Dwight Kunard.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Michael Bruce Lounsbury.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
