The celebration of life for Cecil James Walton, 88 year-old Enid resident is 2:00PM Sunday, July 26, 2026 in the Henninger-Hinson Chapel. 

Cecil "C.J." was born on November 11, 1937 in Lahoma, OK. the son of Wilmer and Bertha Walton. He passed away at the age of 88, leaving behind a legacy of service, dedication, and love for his family.  C.J. served his country as a Chief Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force and worked as an Air Traffic Controller for 25 years. 

After his distinguished military career, he also retired from Halliburton. He took great pride in his work and in the many lives he helped support through his service.

An avid golfer, C.J. played in pro-am tournaments and enjoyed every opportunity   to be on the course. He was also an all-around outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and camping. He enjoyed bowling, and he gave back to his community by coaching little league baseball. 

Cecil is survived by his beloved wife Barbara Childs Walton; his son, John Walton(Twilla): his daughters Nancy Barrett(John) and Jodi Hannick(Nathan), He is also survived by his grandchildren: Brittni Walton, Jared Walton ,Brayden Daniels, Kelly Walton, Bryce Daniels, and Brenton Hannick. His great-grandchildren include Julian Daniels, Cohen Corcoran, Chloe Corcoran, Brixton Daniels and Callan Wallace.

 He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
