The graveside service for David Allen Spurgin will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, March 16, 2017 at the Enid Cemetery with Pastor David Miller officiating. A visitation with family will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2017 in the Henninger~Hinson Funeral Home.

David was born December 21, 1943 to Mary Louise Tinsley and passed away March 12, 2017.

David attended area schools and graduated Enid High in 1961. He then attended Phillips University and Vo-Tech. David married Barbara Beers in 1966 and the couple made Enid their home. He worked at Brown Shoe Co., and raced cars during the 1960's and 70's winning a trophy for rolling his race car eleven times. He was an auto mechanic, custodian for the board of education and drove for the Enid transfer for many years. David Enjoyed Camping, Fishing and watching racing but especially spending time with his family.

David is survived by his daughters, Theresa Grothe and husband, Chris; Laura Walser and spouse; grandchildren, Jonathan Grothe, David Fuksa, Julie, Becky and Katie Grothe, Natasha, Brandon and Johnathon Walser; seven great grandchildren and sister, Barbara McClure

He was preceded in death by his Parents, George and Mary Rasp; daughter, Patricia Spurgin.
