The graveside service for Donna Jean Smith, 91 year-old former Enid resident is 1:00PM, Monday, December 27, 2021

In the garden chapel in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Hennninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Re. Barry Robinson will officiate.

Donna was born March 1, 1930 in Hennessey to Vernon and Doris (Allison) Stewart and died Monday, December 20 2021 at the home of her daughter Denise in Yukon.

On December 31, 1950 she married Elmer Smith in Enid where the couple made their home. Together, they owned and operated

Elmer's BBQ, an Enid institution, for over forty years. She was a long-time member of Life By Design Ministries in Aurora, CO. and was very active in the Pioneers of Faith through that church.She was also a member Progressive Missionary Baptist Church.

Donna was a member of Eastern Star and the Red Hat Ladies. Her passion was her church and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter Denise Smith of Yukon, three sons, Billy Patterson of Kapalei, Hawaii, Norwin Smith of Belton, MO., and Dennis Smith of Portsmith, VA. 12 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, and a host of Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Elmer in 2006,one  daughter, Sharon Cole, and step-daughter Gloria Smith, three sisters, Twila, May Francis, and Nelda, and one brother Marvin.
