The funeral service for Elmer "Bud" McGinnis, 86 year-old Enid resident will be 2:00PM Saturday, December 20, 2014 in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev Jerry Holt will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors.

Bud was born May 23, 1928 in Winfield, Kansas to Eddie and Ida Mary (Dow) McGinnis and died Wednesday, December 17, 2014 in Greenbrier Nursing Home. He served in the United States Army during World War II and Korea. On September 28, 1948 he married Ruby Hendricks in LeGrange, Georgia and the couple made their home in Enid.

Bud worked for the Frisco Railroad for over 37 years until his retirement. Bud enjoyed hunting, racing cars, keeping an immaculate yard and also watching football, especially O.S.U. and O.U.

He is survived by his children; Larry Yarbrough and wife Kathy of Winston, GA. , Kathy Norman and husband John of Enid, and Jerry McGinnis and wife Tracy of Wellston, OK. 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren. 5 sisters and one brother. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded by his wife Ruby, his parents, one grandson Matthew, three brothers and four sisters.
