There will be a private family service at a later date for Gary Sharp, 68 year-old Hunter resident. Gary was born August 24, 1946 in Meadville, Missouri, to Lex Sharp and Jessie Marie (Corbin) Sharp and died Tuesday, April 28, 2015 in his home in Hunter. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

He graduated from Chillicothe High School with the class of 1964. In 1968 he married Sandy Dudley in Chillicothe, Missouri. The family moved to Enid in 1975 where Gary worked as a truck driver for 26 years before he retired.

He was a basketball and softball player for Breckinridge school in his youth. He was an avid fisherman and liked playing pool.

He is survived by his daughter Jeannie Balyntine and husband Jerry of Chillicothe, MO., sons, Darin Sharp and wife Terry, of Enid, Todd Sharp and wife Caryn, of North Carolina, and Paul Sharp and wife Amber, of Yukon, Oklahoma. 14 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, five brothers and three sisters. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Betty Lightfoot, and two brothers Kevin and Donny.
