The Funeral for Georgia IvaDell Wilson will be at 11:00AM Friday, August 15, 2014 in the Hunter Christian Church. The burial will precede the service at 10:00AM in the Hunter White Cemetery. The Rev. Don Johnson will officiate. There will be a visitation with family on Thursday evening from 5PM-7PM in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel.
IvaDell was born February 22, 1922 in Pryor, Oklahoma to Claude and Sarah (Beggs) Henson and passed away on August 11, 2014 in Enid. She graduated from Hunter High School in 1940. She married Thomas George Wilson March 18, 1942. They made their home in Hunter, Oklahoma until 1973 when they moved to Enid. They owned and operated the Hunter Café and Wilson Grocery and Feed Store. IvaDell was also employed by Evans Drug, Long Bell Lumber Company, Montgomery Ward, and retired from Phillips University after seventeen years as an assistant to the registrar. IvaDell loved people, like to bake, especially pastries, oil paintings and in her later years made greeting cards for family and friends. IvaDell was a member of the Hunter Christian Church.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 64 years, Thomas G. Wilson and a son, Stephen L. Wilson.
She is survived by daughter-in-law Linda Wilson of Pond Creek, daughter, Karen Thomas and husband Edward and grandchildren, Traci Tabyanan and husband Marc of Oklahoma City and Trenton Thomas of Irving, Texas.
Memorials may be made through Henninger-Hinson to either Hospice Circle of Love or the Hunter Christioan Church.
