A private family graveside service for Jacqueline Moore Cummins, 97 year-old Enid resident, will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Jacque was born July 28, 1923 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Inez and Brown Moore and died Monday, January 25, 2021 at her home in Enid.

Jacque attended Stillwater Public Schools, graduating in 1940. She then attended one year of Hockaday Junior College in Dallas. She returned to Oklahoma A&M, now Oklahoma State University, in 1942. She pledged Pi Beta Phi Sorority in 1942 and served as President in 1943.

At Oklahoma A&M she met James B. Cummins of Enid. He left school during W.W.II to go into the United States Marine Corps, attending OCS at Camp Lejeune, N.C. Jacque and her parents took a train to Kinston, N.C., where Jacque and 2 ^nd Lt. James Cummins were married on March 7, 1944. He was sent to Saipan one week after their wedding for two years, and Jacque lived with her parents in Stillwater.

When Jim returned, Jacque and Jim made their home in Enid. They had two daughters, Barbara and Beverly. Jacque was active in Junior Welfare League and Chapter AQ of P.E.O. She was also active in the First United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, and on the Organ Selection Committee.

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara and Beverly Cummins. She is also survived by granddaughters, Brooke Chaffin-Reid and Kristen Palmer. Her great-grandchildren are Brooke's twin sons, Jack and Liam Reid, and Kristen's daughter, Windan Palmer. She also leaves her Cummins nieces and nephews and their families. All will miss her.

She is predeceased by husband, James B. Cummins and her parents, Inez and Brown Moore.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given through the funeral home to the Organ Fund of First United Methodist Church or Loaves and Fishes.
