Obituary

The memorial service for James L. Cain, 67 year-old Waukomis resident will be 10:00AM Saturday, August 1, 2015 in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Chuck Coulter will officiate. A private family burial will follow at a later date.

James was born November 15, 1947 in Denver , Colorado to Lewis W. Cain and Mary Alice ( Sisk ) Cain abnd died Sunday, July 26, 2015 in his home in Waukomis.

He enlisted in the United States Navy and served as a sonar operator on a ship off of the coast of Viet Nam during the war. After his honorable discharge, he moved to Enid where he worked at Vance Air Force Base as a computer programmer for flight simulators and later in supply. He retired due to ill health in 2014. He was very proud of his Naval service.

He was raised a Christian. He was an avid fisherman and golfer. He liked to watch stock-car racing and was a O.U. Sooner Football fan.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, of the home, three step-children; Traci, and husband Shannon Broomfield, Kimberly, and husband J,T, Cooper, and Jerry Wayne. 10 grandchildren , 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter, and one brother, Frank Cain.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Sue, brother Stevie, and one niece, Melissa.
