Larry Dean Wood passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021. He died peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Born on February 12, 1944 in Enid, OK to Walter and Idris Wood, he was the middle child of three. After he graduated from Enid High School, he went to business school. In 1964, he joined the US Navy. He was stationed on the aircraft carrier, the USS Coral Sea where he served as an electrician. After the navy, Larry went into the family business, Wood Construction. In 1986, Larry joined Enid Concrete, Inc. managing the Waukomis Ready-mix plant. After moving over to the Enid Plant, he retired in 2007.  Retirement didn't slow Larry down. His son, Dustin (Dusty), needed help managing his growing businesses and Larry was up for the job. In 2015, they made the move from Enid to Grand Lake where he spent his final days fishing and helping Dusty with his newest business ventures. He is survived by his older sister, Dona Wood Selsor Smith and Dewayne Smith; younger brother, David Wood and Roxanne Wood; son, Dustin Wood and Lori Conrady; daughter, Elizabeth Wood Bridenstine and Brady Bridenstine; son, Michael Wood and grandchildren, Mason Simunek, Coleton Conrady, Wyatt Bridenstine, Shelby Wood, and Clara Bridenstine.

The memorial service for Larry will be 11:00am, Saturday, April 3, 2021 in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel in Enid.  A reception will follow at Spring Hill Suites Hotel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to assist with expenses here: https://gofund.me/58a326bd
