The funeral service for LeDora Elizabeth Viers, 92 year-old Enid resident, will be 11:00AM Tuesday, February 10, 2015 in the Henninger~Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Kirk Board Will officiate. Burial will follow in Cherokee Municipal Cemetery.
Elizabeth was born May 7, 1922 at her Grandma's house in Blackwell, OK to Lindsey and Neva Jane (Houser) Owsley and died Friday, February 6, 2015 in Enid.
Elizabeth graduated High School in 1940 from Blackwell high. On June 13, 1948, Elizabeth married Ray Viers in Enid making it their home off and on over the years. Elizabeth worked for the Enid News and Stationary for 10 years where she worked her way from bookkeeper to manager before retiring in 1985. After her retirement, she went to work for H&R block as their receptionist and helped the Enid Senior Center as treasurer for many years.
She was a member of the Central Spiritual Church in Oklahoma City and member of the Enid Civitan. Elizabeth enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and reading, especially mysteries and westerns.
Elizabeth is survived by daughter, Ginny Tripp and husband, John of Enid; one grandchild, George Tripp and wife, Katherine of Enid; three great-grandchildren, Nathan, Adam and Mathew Tripp; two brothers, Lindsey Owsley of Tahlequah, OK and Walter John Owsley of Perkins, OK.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; one sister, Vera and her parents.
