The graveside service for Leta Lavon Lovingier-Fyffe-Talley, 97 year-old Enid resident is 11:00 A.M., Friday, November 7, 2025 in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Meno under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. Rev. John Bizzell will officiate.
Lavon was born April 1, 1928 in Ringwood, Oklahoma to Carl and Josephine ( Chaney ) Lovingier and died Sunday, November 2, 2025 in St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.
Lavon attended Ringwood schools and then attended Phillips University. She married Ira J. Fyffe on Valentine's Day 1948. The couple made their home on a farm near Meno where she was a farmer's wife. They later divorced. On July 3, 1972 she married Stacey Tally. The couple first lived in Ponca City and later settled in Enid. She retired from the Ponca City Public Schools.
She began a career at Vance Air Force base where she worked for many years. She grew up Methodist and attended the Methodist Church. Lavon enjoyed her ladies club. The girls would meet at each other's home to play dominoes and cards.
She is survived by her daughter Mary Woods of Ringwood, two step-daughters, Glenda Slaughter and husband Arriss of Shreveport, LA. and Marilyn Rains of Jenks, OK. One sister Mary, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild that loved her very much. and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Stacy, and two sisters, Joan and Barbara.
Memorials may be made through Henninger-Hinson to The Ringwood Fire Department.
