The funeral for Laviena "Ellen" Snow, 88 year-old Goddard, KS resident is 10:30AM, May 24, 2018 in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Chaplain Gary Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery.

Ellen was born July 3, 1929 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Harold and Dora (Foster) Chappell and died Thursday, May 17, 2018 in Wichita. On October 1, 1947, she married William F. Snow in Enid, OK. The couple made several homes while William was working with Champlin in the oil fields. In 1951, the couple settled in Wichita where Ellen worked for Cudahy Packing Company.

She loved being outdoors and enjoying nature. She also liked refurbishing old furniture and people- watching.

She is survived by her son, Bill and wife, Tina Snow of Wichita; two granddaughters, Tia and Alexandra; four great-grandchildren, with one on the way, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother, E.S. Pierce.
