There will be a private family graveside service for Margaret R. Speece, 92, year-old Enid resident in Restland Cemetery, Dallas, Texas on Saturday, April 19, 2014. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home
Margaret was born November 9, 1921 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Elam W. and Margaret (Barnes) Jackson and died peacefully in Golden Oaks Nursing Home on Sunday, April 13, 2014. Her family moved to Ponca City, Oklahoma where she graduated from Ponca Cuty High School. She was active in the high school choir, the study of the piano, and a member of the Order of the Rainbow for Girls. Upon graduation, she attended Oklahoma State University.
On December 1, 1952 she married James Speece in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. The couple owned and operated several jewelry stores across the southwest.
She is survived by her daughters; Eula and Charles Axe of, Rene' and Dr. Francisco Dexeus, of Enid, and son, James Speece and wife Karen, also of Enid. 10 grandchildrem, and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James, and one son, Robert Clark.
Memorials may be made to OBA Tuition Assistance Endowment with Henninger-Hinson acting as custodians of the fund.
