The service for Michelle Smith is Saturday September 26th, at 3:00 P.M at the Westminster Presbyterian Church at 2217 Constitution Ave, Enid, Oklahoma, and will be officiated by Sgt. Michael Nelson. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Michelle Lee Smith, 63, passed away on September 8, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born on July 31, 1963, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Sharron and Norman Techau. Michelle grew up in Lisbon, Iowa, where she met her true love Thomas Donald Smith.

Michelle and Thomas shared 45 years of marriage, building a life and raising a family together. Throughout those years, Michelle was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose family was at the heart of her life.

Michelle had a loving and compassionate heart, with a special love for both people and animals. She believed in teaching her children the importance of discipline, kindness, and love—values that she passed down to her children and grandchildren and that will continue to live on through them.

As a mother, Michelle was always there for Justin and Lynnsey. She made sure they had what they needed, supported their dreams, and made certain they were able to participate in the sports, school activities, and events that were important to them. She was there to encourage them, cheer them on, and share in their accomplishments.

As a grandmother, Michelle found great joy in watching her grandchildren grow and participate in their own sports and activities. She treasured being there for them and making memories as they grew.

Michelle is survived by her husband of 45 years, Thomas Donald Smith; her son, Justin Smith, and his wife, Brandy Smith; and her daughter, Lynnsey Monk, and her husband, Wayne Monk.

She leaves behind six beloved grandchildren: Katie Emmerson-Smith, Riley Smith, Lillie Emmerson-Smith, Karleigh Monk, Lincoln Monk, and Colter Monk.

Michelle will be remembered for her loving heart, her compassion for people and animals, and most of all, the love and devotion she gave to her family. The lessons she taught, the memories she created, and the love she shared will remain a part of her family for generations to come.

Although her passing leaves a tremendous hole in the hearts of those who loved her, her legacy lives on through her husband, children, grandchildren, family, and friends.
