The graveside service for Mildred J. Johnson, 87 year-old Enid resident will be Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 1:00PM in the Enid Cemetery. The Rev. Terry Chick will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
Mildred was born February 14, 1928 to Charles and Cora (Callahan) Crockett and died Sunday, April 23, 2017 in Integris Bass Baptist Health Center. On August 10, 1946 In Tulsa. The couple moved to Enid in 1960 with their three children. They owned and operated the Farmer's Market, fruit stands and later Ju-Don's restaurant.
She was a member of the Enid Shriner's Ladie's Club, Eastern Star, Silver Sneakers at the YMCA, and she was also a Docent at the Midgley Museum. She was an accomplished needlepoint worker.
She is survived by her children, Judy McMichael and husband Lester, son Donny Johnson, all of Enid. Grandchildren, Kendra Heitfiled and husband Rob of Enid, Brandon McMichael of Dallas, and Kyle Johnson of Stillwater. Great grandchildren Kaylee and Kaden. One brother Frank Crockett and wife Norma of Tulsa, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Gary, and five brothers and sisters.
Memorials may be made to the Enid Shriner's Club, the YMCA, or the Midgley Museum.
