The funeral service for Murlyn Douglas Pool will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 5, 2015 at North Garland Church of Christ with Gordon Jantz officiating. Burial will follow in Enid cemetery under the direction of Henninger~Hinson Funeral Home. Visitation with family will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the church.

Murlyn was born May 9, 1943 to Sam and Murel (Todd) Pool in Fairview, OK and left his earthly home December 1, 2015 in Enid.

Murlyn lived most of his life in Fairview but graduated from Enid High in 1963. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army and served one year in Germany. After which he finished his service to his country in the Army Reserves. On December 7, 1969, Murlyn married Barbara Rogers and out of their union two children, Douglas and Melissa, were born.

Murlyn worked as a welder for GEFCO, retireing in 2010. He and his family are members of North Garland Church of Christ and also attended South 3rd Church of Christ.

He leaves behind his wife, Barbara of the home; son, Douglas Pool; daughter, Melissa Santos and husband Ismal and soon-to-be one grandchild; and his sister, Betty Walker.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dwight Pool.

Memorials may be made to OMRF Heart (Division) with Henninger~Hinson acting as custodians of the fund.
