Myra Jean Johnson, known to her loved ones as Jean, was born July 2, 1936, in Jasper, Texas to Robert and Joesphine Shipp. Jean was a free spirit, but stood her ground, especially when it came to those, she held close to her heart and her animals. She took pride in caring for her nieces and nephews and enjoyed being her brother's right hand. She always had welcoming hands, a great sense of humor, and the warmest heart. Soon after, Jean followed her husband to Oklahoma where they opened their first restaurant and settled down.

Jean was a natural born country loving force to reckon with. Her love for life allowed her to outlive her siblings, parents, and husband. She was a true testament to resilience, always speaking highly of her mother and her strict upbringing. Despite the challenges, she found joy in reminiscing about her childhood and the hardship of growing up in poverty.Jean found joy and fulfillment in helping the
neighborhood cats regardless of their condition; she knew how to help, and no was never an answer. Inspiring us all each and every day. Jean's life taught us to stand up for ourselves, work hard, love life and be kind.

She is proceeded in death by, her mother and father, Josephine and Robert Shipp, her brother Kenneth Wayne Shipp, and her husband, Johnny L. Johnson.

She is survived by her dog Katy, and adopted family; Esmeralda and David Drake, Zahira Rojo, Dulce and Jon Hodgen, Brallan and Adriene Rojo, Betzabet Rojo, David Drake lll, as well as many adopted great-grandchildren.
