The funeral for Nancy Jane Buckminster, 84 year-old Lahoma resident will be 1:00PM Friday, October 15, 2021 in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Bill Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery near Lahoma. Visitation with family is Thursday evening from 4PM-6PM.

Nancy was born September 11, 1937 in Carrier, OK. to Henry and Audrey (Gigoux) Womack and died suddenly, October 11, 2021 in Belle Plaine, Kansas. She attended Carrier Schools and graduated with the class of 1956. She then attended Phillips University where she played basketball. On April 26, 1958 she married Charles Buckminster in Lahoma. The couple made their home on the ranch not far from Lahoma. She was active in Rural Rotary, the Farm Bureau, Cattlewomen's Association for which she received an award for her service in 2012,  and was also a FH Leader for many years. She was an avid gardener, record keeper and loved tending cattle.

Nancy is survived by her daughter Robin Buckminster, Carrier, and her son Justin Buckminster and wife Susan of Lahoma. Three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles, a brother Clarence, and a sister, Mary.
