The graveside service for Peggy J. Rountree, 91 year-old Enid resident will be 10:00AM Tuesday, September 5, 2017 in Enid Cemetery. Rev. Gail Edmison will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Peggy was born March 6, 1926 in Southard, Oklahoma to Eli and Towney(Boyd) Harrison and died Friday, September 1, 2017 in the Commons in Enid. She attended Sallisaw schools and graduated from Sallisaw High School with the class of 1944. She attended college after graduation. On December 3, 1949 she married Merlin Eck in Sebastian County Arkansas. The couple lived in Tulsa for a time where Peggy was a realtor. They later made their home in Enid.

She owned and operated Peggy's Indian Jewelry. She designed her own pieces for her store. On March 11, 1993 Peggy married the love of her life Earl W. Rountree. Together they shared a love like no other and were blessed every day to have one another.

She was a long-time member of Central Christian Church.

She is survived by her sister Willa dene Dohy of Calgary Alberta Canada, God-niece Debbie Dunn of Farmington, Moissouri, niece Linda Corbin and husband Wilber of Jemez Springs, NM. Several nephews and nieces, and special friends that became family Christa Nelson and Ruth Dobbs.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husbands, and 8 brothers and sisters.
