A celebration of life for Randy L. Jenkins, 70 of Enid, will be 10:30am Monday, June 29, 2015 at First United Methodist Church, of which he was a member. Reverend Randy Mitchell will lead the celebration. Military honors will be graciously conducted by the US Army. Arrangements are through Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
Randy was born December 3, 1944 in Oklahoma City to Charles and Bertha (Green) Jenkins and died Saturday, June 20, 2015 at his home after a brief battle with cancer.
He attended Enid schools, graduating from Enid High School in 1963. He attended Oklahoma State University and served in the United States Army, in Korea. He married Sharon Ross on August 31, 1971 in Norman, Oklahoma.
Randy was employed by Champlin Petroleum Company for ten years. After it closed, Randy worked for Cleveland Wrecking Company for eleven years as a demolition estimator. He was working as a planner/scheduler for P&E in McPherson, Kansas until poor health forced him to resign.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry.
Survivors include his loving wife, Sharon; son, Jay; daughter, Jill and husband, Conrad; grandchildren, Sadie and C.J.; brothers, Duane and Dick as well as his nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be given to First United Methodist Church, Hospice Circle of Love or Enid SPCA with Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home acting as custodians of the funds.
