Obituary

The graveside service for Reatha Marlatt, 85 year-old Enid resident is 10:00AM Thursday, February 1, 2024 in the Ames Cemetery. A visitation with family is from 5PM-7PM Wednesday evening in the Henninger-Hinson Chapel.

Reatha was born December 14, 1938 in Ames to George and Neily (Bartlay) Detrick and died suddenly January 27, 2024 in Enid. She attended Cimarron Valley Schools and graduated from Ames High School with the class of 1957. She then attended Beeche's Beauty College of Enid.

On March 9, 1962, she married Charles "Chuck" Marlatt.  The couple made their home in Bethany OK for 13 years before moving to the Ames area. She did many, many peoples hair over the years, including her kids. She was an accomplished seamstress and loved gardening. She especially loved irises. She was a political junkie, and loved to follow the political news every day.
She is survived by her husband, Chuck of the home, two sons, Scott Marlatt and wife Katrina of Edmond, and Lance Marlatt and wife Jennifer of Ringwood. Four grandchildren, Chelsie Litterell and husband C.J., Reese Marlatt, Maggie Nave and husband Dylan, and Emilee Gregory and husband Grant. Great-grandchildren Jagger and Lane Parker, Griffin Litterell, Magnolia and Huck Nave, and Beau Gregory and baby girl Gregory on the way. Also surviving is her brother Bob Detrick.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, brother Dale, and sister Loretta.
