Obituary

Reba Givens Monroe was born June 14, 1930 in Oklahoma City, OK and died in Springfield, MO on November 19, 2017.

She married Bobby Givens on July 2, 1950 in Enid, OK. They had three children together and lived in various locations during his service with the Air Force. She worked many years at Evans Drug in Enid and later met and married Roy Monroe. They were active members of Trinity Baptist Church until Roy passed away in 2014 and she moved to Springfield, MO to be closer to her daughters.

She enjoyed volunteering at church, playing cards with friends, and watching her beloved Dallas Cowboys.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Thelma Drake; brother Bobby Drake, and daughter, Suzanne Givens.

Reba is survived by her two daughters, Pat McBeath and husband, David of Springfield, MO and Pam Updyke and husband, Ed of Overland Park, KS; grandchildren Christina Deimund and husband Jeremy of Tyler, TX, Michelle McBeath of Oklahoma City, OK, Desirae Hosmer of Russell, KS, Brandon Updyke of Overland Park, KS, Ron Hulgan of Syracuse, NY and 5 great-grandchildren.

A graveside memorial service for Reba will be Saturday November 25th at 1:00 pm at Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum in Enid, OK with Reverend Floyd Westfall officiating under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to her favorite charity, Samaritan's Purse at www.samaritanspurse.org or Trinity Baptist Church, Enid, OK.
