Per his request, there will be no services for Robert D. Kirby, 87 year-old Enid resident. His wishes were to be cremated under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Robert was born June 25, 1938 and raised in Boystown, Nebraska from age old six months to sixteen years old. At sixteen Robert attended Southern Illinois University for three years where he earned a BA in special education and a minor in psychology. Robert met his wife Marcella in college whom he married in 1953. They had one child, Robert Jr. Marcella preceded him in death on June 29, 1972. Robert never re-married.

Robert was a general contractor for 25 years. Robert loved all people and children. He was a writer, a stand-up comedian. He loved jewelry. the Gloss Mountains, and clock repair. He was a nice trespasser from all animals that he came into contact with.

Robert was a yearly member of the church of the covenant on Cleveland. He was a good Christian to all that knew him. He loved to make people smile.
