The graveside service for Sherry Sue Smith, 71 year-old Enid resident is 10:00AM Tuesday, August 6, 2024 in the Enid Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. Rev. Gail Edmison will officiate.

Sherry was born August 4, 1952 in Enid to J.B. Burgess and Juda (Garfield) Burgess and died Monday, July 29, 2024

in her home surrounded by her family. She attended local schools and graduated with the class of 1970. She began a career in home health care which she continued in for over 30 years.

On April 15, 2005 she married James Smith in Enid where the couple made their home. Sherry enjoyed fishing, dart, and shooting pool(at which she was very good!!).

She is survived by her husband James of the home, son Bobby Dodd of Enid, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, one sister B.J. Mongold and husband Elmer of Enid, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, her parents, brother Ray Burgess and sister Debbie Crossland.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hospice Circle of Love.
