The memorial service for Vickie Lynn Vrana, 65 year-old El Reno resident, will be 2:00pm Sunday, October 27, 2019 at Lake El Reno. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home, Enid, OK.

Vickie was born September 25, 1954 in Dallas, TX to Raymond Walter and Doris Jean (Cech) Vrana and peacefully passed away October 4, 2019 at her home in El Reno, OK.

In 1972, Vickie graduated high school from Rockwall, TX. While in high school, tennis was her sport. In 1973, she headed to John F. Kennedy College in Wahoo, NE on a tennis scholarship but they actually didn't have a team so instead, she played softball. When JFK College closed in 1975, she transferred to Tarkio College on a softball scholarship. Vickie graduated in 1977. After graduation, she moved to Jefferson City, MO to play softball.

She lived in Jefferson City for one year before moving to El Reno in 1978. While in El Reno, Vickie was the program director for the YMCA for a number of years. She moved to Rowlett, TX in 2001 to take care of her nephew, Tyler Rushing, until his death in February 2003. Then she moved back to El Reno, Oklahoma.

Vickie dedicated herself to the Lord. Her philosophy for life was her faith. She understood that her every need would be provided for as long as she gave everything she had to the One who loved her the most.

Vickie will be deeply missed by family and friends. A special thank you goes to Good Shepherd Hospice and Amanda Nichols.
